Although he has had several attempts to "retire" in the past, Bond seems to be finally able to carry out his plan, five years after the capture of the criminal Ernst Stavro Blofeld. But we are talking about the most famous British spy of all time, so this time the holiday will not be long. With the help of his old friend from the CIA, Felix Leiter, Bond now goes in search of the scientist Valdo Obruchev, whose kidnapping reveals a terrorist plot that could destroy the world as we know it.

After a wait of almost six years, the 25th screening of the James Bond series , No Time to Die is at the same time the last film with Daniel Craig in the lead role. Along with Craig, Ralph Fiennes (M), Ben Whishaw (Q), Jeffrey Wright (Leiter), Léa Seydoux (Dr. Madeleine Swann) and Christoph Waltz (Blofeld) resume their roles, and the film's song, often as long-awaited as and the film itself is starring Billie Eilish.

As no details are announced regarding who will take over the famous Walther PPK from Daniel Craig, it will most likely take a long time until the next Bond movie. To make your wait easier, take your friends to the cinema (when it opens) and enjoy the most anticipated movie of the year together!

2. Death on the Nile

Premiere: September 17, 2021

Gen: Thriller, Crime, Mister

After the success of 2017 with Murder on the Orient Express, the director and actor Kenneth Branagh returns to the big screens in the role of the emblematic detective Hercule Poirot with a new screening of the novel Death on the Nile .

Inspired by the intrigue of Agatha Christie, the film follows a story about passion and jealousy in a beautiful setting dotted with pyramids and landscapes on the Nile. Hercules Poirot is now aboard the ship Karnak, when a couple's honeymoon is suddenly interrupted by a mysterious murder.

Of course, all the passengers are a group of cosmopolitan nobles, with a spotless reputation, but as we would expect from Agatha Christie, they all have something to hide. So the detective's work is not easy this time either.

With an exceptional cast with stars such as Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer and, of course, Kenneth Branagh, Death on the Nile is a special film that takes us into a story full of suspense and mystery, with characters who have something to hide everywhere and that will keep your mouth shut until the last moment.

3. A Quiet Place: Part II / Fara zgomot 2

Premiere: September 17, 2021

Gen: Horror, Thriller

Shhh! Quiet!

Continuing the film released in 2018, Noise 2 resumes the story of the Abbott family, who live in a post-apocalyptic world, under the threat of aliens with an extremely fine sense of hearing. Make a sound, no matter how small, and be prepared to face your end in a bloody way.

Moving away from the usual clichés we encounter in horror movies, with predictable scares everywhere, Noise 2 manages to create a perpetual state of anxiety and transpose the viewer into the terror felt by the characters.

Again, Evelyn (Emily Blunt) tries to bring her family to a safe place, under the constant threat of aliens, in a world where fewer and fewer people seem to be friends and willing to help her. So if in the past the main threat was fierce monsters, Evelyn must now be on her toes and choose the people she trusts with great care.

Be on stage when the cinemas open, take your friends and get ready for two hours of suspense and shivers down your spine in what promises to be one of the best horror movies of 2021.

4. Black Widow

Premiere: May 7, 2021

Genre: Action, Adventure, SF

If you were convinced that we said goodbye to Natasha Romanoff after the events of Avengers: Endgame, well, you were wrong. The producers of Marvel Cinematic Universe could not part with one of the most beloved characters without dedicating a separate film in which to explore in detail the story of the Widow. The movie is a kind of swan song for Natasha, who * spoiler alert! * Dies in the last movie in the Avengers series.

The action takes place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, when Natasha is alone, on the run and has to face her past. Because before allying with the Avengers and fighting for the "good", Natasha was trained by the Soviet secret services and participated in several more dubious missions as a KGB assassin.

That means getting ready for a memorable movie, with epic fight scenes and impressive special effects because Black Widow promises to be a successful superhero movie, which we can't wait to see at CINEMAX Veranda starting in May.

5. Mortal Kombat

Premiere: April 9, 2021

Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantastic, SF, Thriller

For fans of the original video game, we have good news! Mortal Kombat returns to the big screens in a new adaptation. The screenplay brings to the fore famous characters such as Scorpio, Sub-Zero, Liu Kang, Raiden, Jax, Kano and Sonya Blade and, based on the first reviews, the film remains true to the game and is very, very bloody.

Mortal Kombat tells the story of the tournament of the same name between the earth warriors and the evil forces of the afterlife. Lord Raiden will once again serve as the mentor and leader of the fighters on earth, so get ready for martial arts fight scenes as per the book. The movie is pretty violent, so if you're weaker than an angel, you might want to get a little familiar with the Mortal Kombat universe before watching.

On the other hand, if you are a big fan of video games and good action and adventure movies with SF details, then you should not miss Mortal Kombat in cinemas.

6. The Nest

Premiere: April 9, 2021

Genre: Drama, Thriller

The Nest tells the story of the marriage between Rory (Jude Law) and Allison (Carrie Coon), which begins to fall apart after the couple moved from New York to an estate near London.

Although the relationship between the two was long troubled, the new decor reveals all their incompatibilities and all the reasons why they are not suitable together. But the mastery of the film directed by Sean Durkin (known for Martha Marcy May Marlene) is not only in the details related to the narrative thread of the story.

Durkin manages to recreate an atmosphere of psychological horror film, but without scares , bloody clichés and the famous bogeyman . Instead, the viewer is locked in the English mansion with the four members of the family, while the resentment between them grows on the smoldering fire throughout the film. The outcome? One of the best psychological films of the year, with spectacular performances by both actors.

Only good to see with your beloved person, The Nest Come to CINEMAX Veranda and get ready for it is an exceptional thriller drama that will make you think.
